Libya: video shows Sudanese migrants being tortured

A video showing Sudanese migrants being tortured by Libyans was published this weekend on social networks. These violent images support the allegations of torture that have been made for months by migrants in Libya.

The images are difficult to watch as they are of incredible violence. After the outrage aroused in mid-November by a report of the US channel CNN showing enslaved migrants in Libya, a new video released Sunday, January 21 highlights the tortures suffered by migrants stranded on the Libyan territory.

In the first images, we see a man pouring burning plastic on the naked body of a migrant screaming in pain. We then see the bodies of several men covered with scars and burns.
