The Italian Coast Guard announced the discovery of the bodies of seven migrants off the Libyan coast as part of several relief operations that allowed the rescue of 900 migrants.

Eight rescue operations coordinated by the Italian coast guard rescued migrants who were trying to cross the Mediterranean from Libya on rubber boats, the source said. The source added that one of the boats revealed seven unidentified corpses that have been taken aboard a military vessel operating as part of the Sofia operation to combat Libyan smugglers.
