The Italian Cooperation Agency, in partnership with the Directorate of cinematography, has begun to travel around Senegal to raise awareness on the risks of irregular migration among potential migrants. Throughout a 45-day campaign called CinémArena, they will use movies to help young people collecting all information on the dangers and the risks that migrants might face during their journey.

The West is for many young Africans, the Eldorado. So, all means are good to get there. But they must be aware of the immeasurable loss of human life that sometimes occurs in these situations. To stop this phenomenon, the Italian Cooperation Agency has chosen the cinema as a way to help potential candidates to "make the right choice". With this in mind, the Agency launched yesterday the CinémArena initiative at the residence of the Italian Embassy in Senegal.
