They left Africa to reach Europe with the hope to embrace a better life. We followed these migrants between Italy and France.

They crossed the desert. Then the sea. Two deadly routes. But on their way to exile, African migrants never really come out of the hellhole. After a perilous route across the Sahara desert and the Mediterranean, misery is waiting for them in Europe.

The humanitarian, health and security misery they had fled in their country of origin comes around inexorably in the Old Continent. As if the bad luck followed them. As if poverty, fear, hunger and chaos had to haunt them ad vitam aeternam.
