Nigerian Businessman, Mogul Tony Elumelu created a self-titled foundation with an aim to empower Africa’s best and brightest entrepreneurs. Speaking about what lead to the creation of the foundation, Elumelu is quoted saying, ” As an entrepreneur myself, I understand what it feels like to yearn for a lifeline, to hope for a ‘big break’, to look forward to enjoying some luck.”

The Tony Elumelu Foundation hopes to nurture and train 3,000 African entrepreneurs over 10 years. The 4th cycle of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme is open to applications from across in the continent. The business development programme will provide training, mentoring, funding and network access to catalyze growth in Africa’s most undervalued resource- its entrepreneurs. Among the top graduates of recent cycles of the entrepreneurship program is Momar Taal, a young Gambian featured on Forbes Top 30 under 30.
